IFI has developed an EMC Calculator app to simplify RF field Calculations. The purpose of this calculator is to provide engineers and technicians with a very simple tool to determine how much power is required at an antenna RF input connector to achieve a specific field level in volts/meter. The calculator provides easy correlation for Pulse and CW field levels from V/M to KV/M. By plugging in the specific variables, the customer can determine “Field Level”, “Antenna Gain”, “RF Power In” and "Distance" if desired. Most applications call for 1M or 3M testing. The app includes 5 simple steps for instructions, should the customer need to refer to these. IFI’s “Field Calculation Formulas Made Easy” app will expedite many lab applications.
