Electronic Attack Solution Successfully Demonstrated by US Navy near Hawaii

A Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Company joint team successfully demonstrated a potential electronic attack solution as part of the US Navy’s Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program during a multinational maritime exercise near Hawaii. The team completed land-based integration and test activities of its SEWIP Block 3 solution earlier this year at Lockheed Martin’s electronic warfare test facility in Syracuse, New York.

SEWIP is an evolutionary development of block upgrades to the AN/SLQ-32 electronic warfare system currently installed on all U.S. aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers and other surface combatants. The new system is designed to improve anti-ship missile defense capabilities and counter enemy targeting and surveillance activities.
