The IFI LPA-5 amplifier provides the means of maintaining an automated computer controlled output level of a power amplifier for EMI/EMC emission, susceptibility or conducted swept field measurement testing from 10 kHz to 1 GHz (40 GHz with options).
With the built-in computer, predetermined E-field levels, control and limit settings for up to eight E-field sensor inputs can be accomplished automatically for cost effective real-time testing. It allows for simple or complex automatic E-field leveling with or without external computer driven software
The LPA-5 simplifies the task of incorporating full computer control. Its built-in multichannel leveling capability permits the use of simpler software. An external computer need only start the LPA-5 in one of its automatic modes and then the monitor and record test results.

In addition to direct computer control, all LPA-5 functions are accessible from a front panel key pad. User friendly instructions and queries appear on a bright LCD screen and help guide the user in setting desired levels and functions. Up to nine complex test modes can be saved for day to day recall.
To meet individual testing needs, the LPA-5 can be easily customized with an IEEE-488 interface, coaxial sensor inputs or a frequency extension to 40 GHz. With this capability and its built-in computer driven preamplifier, the LPA-5 is ideal for automating your EMI/EMC test procedures.
